Software Engineer - Network Specialist (VR)

Responsibilities

  • You will be working with a small team of dedicated engineers on cutting edge creative and meaningful experiences
  • You thrive in a group setting, contributing to important design decisions and conversations.
  • Rapid development of prototypes and experiments, using novel gameplay mechanics and game design.
  • Apply game design to location-base entertainment (arcades) or serious applications for commercial and enterprise clients (gamification)
  • Write clear, concise technical documentation to complement your designs and code.
  • Collaborate with other segments of the organization, including product management, tech docs, and quality assurance to ensure delivery of a quality experience that meets the demands of our customers.
  • Brainstorm and troubleshoot solutions to bugs, strange behaviors and other problems as they come up.

Requirements

  • You must have a passion for Virtual Reality.
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years in game-based software engineering.
  • Expertise in C# and/or C++ with deep understanding of design patterns.
  • Deep knowledge of networking, specifically for gaming, including various network packages (uNet, Photon, Bolt, etc).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Unity3d a huge plus.
  • Ability to understand an optimize 3d-math calculations and algorithms as they pertain to game logic.
  • Self-motivated: Ability to manage your own tasks while working on a team towards a common goal.
  • Experience working with scrum or agile project workflows a plus.
  • Ability to context switch as-needed to meet the demands of the market or client.
  • Ability to write clear, concise documentation as it pertains to the software products we deliver.
  • Ability to write and/or maintain manual and automated tests a plus.
