Systems Architect (VR)


Virtual Reality is about creating compelling and immersive content with the power to move people and engage them in new ways. It’s also about having fun. As a Systems Architect at VRstudios, you will be building and planning complex VR systems and orchestrating their installations on the technical side. You will have the freedom to explore new technologies and new ways of thinking around VR systems and alternative configurations. Day-to-day, you will work cross-team with our operations and installation team to define system specifications to meet specific customer needs. You will work with the software and hardware teams to determine the appropriate technology stack for the deployment and then help deliver on the deployment. This job will potentially require traveling state-side and internationally.


  • You will be working with a team of dedicated engineers on cutting edge VR systems and deployments.
  • Your team will be responsible for refining site survey procedures and assigning team members to perform them.
  • You will own system design documents and specifications for internal and customer deployments.
  • You and your team own standard system definitions and configurations, helping to drive part of company product definition.
  • You will define system policies and work with our teams to deploy secure computing systems to multiple sites, including Windows, Linux and mobile platforms.
  • Work with the product development team to oversee technical project operations as deployments are underway at customer sites.
  • Brainstorm and troubleshoot new solutions to bugs, strange behaviors and other problems as they come up in the field.
  • Coordinate with hardware and software development teams to evaluate and recommend new components and hardware.


  • You must have a passion for Virtual Reality.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or certifications in related computer fields (CS, CE, CIS)
  • Industry Experience: 10+ years in systems and/or solutions engineering.
  • Expertise in wired and wireless network architecture and infrastructure design and definition.
  • Proficient at driving acceptance test definition and procedures.
  • Expert in Windows and Linux policies, provisioning and deployment
  • Experience with camera systems and coverage calculations a plus.
  • Can drive deliverables using scrum-like or agile project workflows.
  • Self-motivated: Ability to manage your own tasks while working on a team towards a common goal.
  • Ability to context switch as-needed to meet the demands of the market or client.
  • Ability to write clear, concise documentation using office and design tools, such as Microsoft Office and Visio.
  • You must thrive in a group setting, contributing to important design decisions and conversations.
  • Must exhibit creativity and a desire to create and solve new problems.
